Torres Returns to the DoubleTree in Sacramento on August 5th

Upper Cut Promotions, the longest running fight promotion in Northern California, presents “Hot August Fights” on Saturday night, August 5th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Sacramento.

A full night of action will include Sacramento favorite Ruben Torres as he takes on Christian Seals of Carson, California in a six-round junior middleweight bout.

Rising prospect Jesus Haro of Merced, California will make his U.S. debut as a professional when he meets Gabriel Ponce of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in the six-round light flyweight co-main event.

Undefeated cruiserweight Terrell Glynn returns to the DoubleTree in front of his hometown supporters to face former amateur standout Jasper McCargo of Richmond, California in a four-round special attraction.

In a rematch of their draw at “Saturday Nights Fights” main event at the DoubleTree in May, Sacramento’s Will Villa looks to erase the only thing resembling a blemish on his unbeaten record against veteran Diuhl Olguin of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in a six-round featherweight tilt.  

In an immediate rematch of a hotly-contested draw, San Jose, California’s Mark Salgado tangles with Christian Avalos of Carson City, Nevada in a four-round lightweight bout.

Unbeaten Moises Marroquin will fight in his adopted hometown of Sacramento for the first time as he takes on Evert Antonio Vallecillo Velasquez of Richmond in a four-round flyweight bout. 

In other action, Phillip Ramirez of Sacramento meets Rodolfo Molina of Antioch, California in a four-round super bantamweight fight and welterweight Alton Wiggins of Modesto, California will see action in a four-rounder against William Davis of Oakland, California.
