Once again boxing returned to the Hanford Civic Auditorium in the form of the Third Annual Battle of the Badges pitting public safety officers from throughout the state in competition to raise funds for the Fallen Officers Resource fund.
Saturday’s event, sponsored by the United Combat Association, featured 14 bouts from all weight categories.
Prominent local bouts featured Marqus Blevins of the Kings County Probation department, Martin Gutierrez of the Lemoore Police Department, Richard Hayes of Tribal Public Safety, and DJ Vargas of the Hanford Police Department.
